Lü – Interactive Playground, a leader in K12 edtech systems, has announced a strategic collaboration with Dell Technologies to enable immersive learning in schools for children around the world.

With numerous global studies recognising the interconnected relationship between physical activity and academic success, with cognitive, emotional, social, and physical benefits contributing to better health and learning outcomes. Conversely, a lack of physical activity is associated with obesity, lower social-emotional skills, absenteeism, and higher drop-out rates in school. Despite this, K12 education providers – who have been grappling with budget cuts and a growing teacher crisis throughout the last 10 years at least – have markedly reduced physical activity in the curriculum, contributing to current generations of sedentary children and youth worldwide.

Lü – Interactive Playground is striving to address this issue, reshaping traditional learning environments into lively and enriching spaces powered by huge interactive projections and a synchronised sound system. Blending active play with impactful academics, Lü’s innovative application portfolio provides more than 30 activities, covering everything from maths, to mindfulness, and even physical education. In just two years, 400 Lü systems have been installed in schools in more than 20 countries, with over 30,000 students enjoying these facilities every week.

“Dell Technologies is passionate about driving human progress through greater access to technology, and Lü’s interactive solutions empower student-centred learning in new and exciting ways,” said Adam Garry, senior director of education strategy at Dell Technologies. “We are pleased to collaborate with the Lü team to offer school districts, educators, and most importantly students from K12 more opportunities to leverage technology to learn and collaborate.”

Vincent Routhier, CEO and founder of Lü, commented: “Teachers are superheroes. What if we could provide them with the most advanced learning spaces to educate, inspire and engage young people? What if they could combine fitness and learning so their students can get fit while learning math or geography in gym class? At Lü, we’re on a mission to foster each child’s full potential, and by collaborating with Dell Technologies, I’m confident we can take it to the next level.”

Lü blends PE with digital tools and academic applications to target students’ executive functions, motor and social-emotional skills, while simultaneously consolidating core subject knowledge. The company designs its activities and applications collaboratively with educational specialists to fall in line with International Baccalaureate standards.
